When u turn in naked, be ready for any size!!

ok...tis been long..since I stepped up here...
but this one here is not for tat.....this one is for a confession.....
its not always that u hear something and it comes out true..
I literally had that experience yestday.
For the last one week, I have caught up with this addiction of going to the Big C...
Yeah it lasted exactly a week...I m hopefully off it and will not really go back again in my life...

Regarding the Hearing.....someone sitting next to me uttered this same words!!
WHEN U TURN IN NAKED..BE READY FOR ANY SIZE..
how correct is that..isnt it..
Yestday literally I turned in naked and literally did one bizzare trick after another after another....and as I had turned in naked I waited for the size..and well the size turned out to be the largest....yeah watever, I m blabbering now...
But yestday nite has taught me some very very very valuble lessons in life (apart frm tht size talisman)
NOTHING IS FREE IN LIFE.....EVERYTHING HAS A PRICE TAG AND AGAIN ITS NOT SURE THAT EVEN AFTER PAYING THE PRICE YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO DERIVE THE BEST OUTTA IT....
You may ask, if I dint know that before...yeah I knw that before only theoritically.....but now I have practical knowledge of that stuff!! (all the 27 yrs of life, I have been a theoritical guy!!)..

Any ways as they say in a Hindi saying Deir Aye Durust Aye, which more or less means the same as Better late than Never!!...

Thanx God for giving me a practical explanation of the same. Totally grateful!!
Cheers
hope to have a happy weekend

Mood: After yestday's debacle, I m kinda in a zombie state of mind...but I will buck up!!

Some Market Research can do good!!

lol @ expansion and technological advancement may be!!
I was at my roadside friendly pirated dvdwala....sorry guys, I dont buy it intentionally to harm the movie industry.. I dont get to catch out this movies at theatres here!!
The ones I could watch at Cineplex, I dont buy, but with 4 screens and 3 movies a week...i cant get all the movies tat I would have loved to see....Eg. Twilight never got released here...so where do u watch it (oh nevertheless I hated the movie, it sucked bigtime, donno how gals loved it!!)....

So coming to the point, I couldnt find any good movies at the dvd guy, so I jst accidently happen to ask him that where I would get the ones that I require, he replies back "YOU SHOULD TRY OUR OTHER NEW BRANCH BEHIND WILLIAM STREET" I said wow, mmbu, even u have started to branch out and enjoy the fruits of marketization and market research may be!!.... Well market research because, William Str. is no doubt one of the busiest place around, and the junta (public) which passes by would take a minute or two to stop and gap at the collections the guy got!!....amazing and good to see (not the piracy business, but the business sense the guys behind the stall had!!).....
Mood: M happy for them, even though I dint get anything this week from them....

Happy weekend

Khana Khazana and THE LASS

oh boy o boy...the food at Khana Khazana rocks......it is jst amazing.....I loved it.

Lemme start from the Start..My houseowner(LANDIE) gave a treat for his daughter's birthday and of all the places he chooses KK.....I m particularly not a fan of KK, first due to the fact that its always crowded, second the food is not as spicy as to my taste (which I lately discovered was due to the fact that the cuisine is Muglai there, which bases itself on cream, cashewnuts etc.) and thirdly the food is rather pricy and I dont like to pay much for food which I cant thoroughly relish...

Anyways it wasnt my treat and so tagged along and off we go to KK...and boy I was in for a surprise!!...the Landie has some magic mantra in his charm, he got a huge table for the 10 of us in a fully packed restau...then when the food starts arriving, its amazingly different from what I have had here previously....the chicken is spicy, atleast by Ugandan standards, its spicy..the paneer is good as well and the starters are also amazing... So the end point is I would be giving it a try again (i.e. when my pocket allows me!!)..

By the way, the reason I thought of jotting down this post is not only appreciating the food, but also giving a thought on how people think and what do they think!!

The table next to mine was seated a dusky Indian beauty....its quite rare to find single Indian gals here... So was jst thinking..what do people think when they r alone!! (me and my wild fantasies)..... then some random sloppy US/UK trained Indian guy wid his muzungu (firang) lass..and thus breaks my antics of trying to flirt up something wid the dusky beauty...

Anyways the point was, how amazing it would be if I got power to listen to people's conversations...lol..even better if I had the power to learn wats on people's mind...well not for malicious purposes, jst for the sake of it (oh then how do u differentiate what is malicious and wat is not!!)...wat say u ppl, wont it be amazing to have something like tat...

Well the end point is that I fall in crush and infactuation and love and life and blah blah everything wid every third gal (mayb its bit more may be 5th wud be better!!)...and so this gal also comes and goes..from the company she had, she could be working for some NGO or UN office or some MNC (oh MNCs dont employ expat Indians unless u r bloody out of the MNC country!!) So the point is that I wont be meeting the lady again, not in this lifetime atleast....lol
chal leave evrything, I think I m still high from last nite's two beer....I hope to quit beer altogether.....AND START WID VODKA TONITE!!
HAHA
HAPPY WEEKEND
mood: happy for the weekend!!!

Touch FM prize and more!!

Hey guys, this week has been one of the best weeks till now.

First things first, I m famous..lol..atleast in some ways and with some section of the audience.

I won a prize of UGX 50,000 at Touch FM in their morning breakfast show for a contest called Clueless. Lol it has been my most lucky week it seems till now. I actually won the prize the second day as well, but then the Radio station has some rules that you cant win twice!! Anyways I would be collecting the prize on Friday and hope to have a pretty decent enough weekend!

Regarding the famous bit, well my name has been revebrating the radio waves at regular intervals atleast Touch FM breakfast show does say it out!

In other things, my folks ask for my views on a marriage proposal (seemingly the first one till date & which btw, I mean marriage thingie, I m not totally interested into right now). Dont know if it was for good or bad, but I have postponed the planning to another more distant future timing.

The week before also had some good and bad news, one of my oldest and the best friend got married (and I dont mean Ms. A, well she is a friend but donno if oldest and best r appropriate enough adjectives for her). Akku got married on 12th and the sad bit was tat as usual I couldnt visit him or be part of the marriage. Damn the job man, the only problem working overseas is this one. You dont get to be with your friends and loved ones on their special days!!

Anyways, by the time I finish off this draft, its already Monday with all its mood shifting and stuff!!...

As for the weekend update, I had a great weekend, had beer @ a friend's home and then for God knows what reason, we went to Bubbles O leary..yeah my first time there, atta boy with all the buzungus (the Goras), the place sure looks out of this world (wid me having only experienced steak out, mateos and the other pubs out there in kabalagala, it was a good change)....neways cudnt quite flirt with the peace of mind, as I had 2 beer more than my quota, so it was kicking me up the head!!...neways will try to try it out again some other time....but as for now m looking forward to tomorrow at Cineplex for Nite at the Musuem II (@ UGX 6K, isnt it a deal brothers) and for the Reggae nite @ Steakout wid my favourite Moonberg @ 1.5K each(amazing!!)... If neone interested to join, bing mee.....m gonna be alone both days!!....or if you read this a bit late..u can join me next week as well..I would be at the same place!!

Challo then bbyes for now
cheers
have a great week ahead!! and again, hav become a big big fan of Touch FM.

Movies, Moves and Me

okay, it has been long since I have written an iota here. Well as usual, work has been one of the culprits, but then boredom and laziness has been stronger in me not penning down nething.

Sure enough, today I actually got some trully interesting topic to write on. One of my favs, Movies.
The last few weeks have been no short than a marathon in terms of watching movies.
I have watched movies left right and centre (both politically and literally!!)
I saw Korean films, Japanese, Chinese Porn (the other orientals were not porn!!). Then I saw some Jason Statham movies, the Transporter Trilogy and I somehow feel that they should just continue the series (even though the idea becomes a bit repetitive, but who cares as long as the non-stop action is kept coming). I have become a bit of a fan of him and m still scourjing for his other titles, kick ass love it!!

Neways apart from all that, one movie that I was totally surprised by and which I again loved by my whole heart was Dev D. Well the story is seeemingly the same old, not much of a change, but wherever the chances are made, they r awesome, inspiring and strong enuff to make me go out on my byke and try to emulate somethings from the movie!! (not the drugs and stuff!!) The coincidence lies in the fact that I had been having abnormally high amount of Vodka (the same protagonist has in the movie!) Amazing movie, amazingly beautiful direction and the lead ladies are jst wow, be it Paro or Chanda....loved both of them and cud had gone further than jst love with both of them!! (yeah I have strained myself for words). As for Abhay Deol (Dev), I have loved all his movies from Socha na tha, Ahista Ahista, Manorama, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and all the rest. Seriously the actor is natural and I did love to watch him act in more movies.

Anyways I got another posse of movies in my DVD collections which remain there to be watched and relished by me. So I hope to keep on writing about movies again. Though not as a review but jst for passing time. m not very well compatible wid writing reviews as reviews can only be written by people who r flawless themselves when it comes to be criticizing some one!! great thoughts na :D..I know I know...I take the bows and salutations!!

Huge Glad PS: By the time I m ending this post, I have in my pockets the almost half collection of Jason Statham!! Amazing na!!

I m totally sorry dear all for being so slack in writing.

Its the one of the many things I like the best (yeah one of the many).

So what have i been upto? Well nothing much as such. Except for the fact that I have been roaming around here and there. Went to some much anticipated and waited places in and around Kampala during the Easter holidays.

To name a few I went to Lido Beach, Kiwatule Recreation Park, Didi's World (actually one of the most anticipated, I dont remember being to a fun fair and being part of rides :'(..). But I missed out on Baha'ai Temple, I had been looking to vist that place for ages now and hoped i would make it thru this easter but no...no luck this time around. But I had a blast this Easter, enjoyed thoroughly. For the first time in my life jumped into a pool of water, without knowing how to swim, went to a real, clean beach again for the first time (Juhu and Chaupati cant be termed as beaches, you cant touch the waters there!! its damn dirty). Did all that and more.

Anyways the hangover over with and did dealing with everything important in life, went out to roam around a bit on Saturday, after a long gap of TWO WEEKS :D.. Sat at the same hangout of Steakout. Sat there till 12 or 1, dont remember much especially after a third Moonberg, I m not very sobre. But yeah do remember, meeting a very beautiful lady there on the bar and offering her a drink as well(I have turned bold) and in turn not getting a boot on the head but, she accepting the invitation and banging for a Alvaro. I couldnt really believe that there can be girls in Uganda, who do booze but given the fact that it was free booze coming from my pocket, they dont accept it. Atleast till now, I have only come across girls who do go for the lurch, if you offered anything free to them. But this chick was jst unbelievable settling for an Alvaro, which btw is a non-alcholic, non tasty, soda water with a tinge of raw pineapple, I would had preferred a Pepsi Pineapple (hold your breaths, we have it here, even I was shocked) to that.

Anyways that ended there, I dint go any further than talking to her about her football affiliations which interestingly and again not to my taste turned out to be ManU, and me being a ardent Gunner (Arsenal) cudnt quite digest sitting with a Reds gal. But that apart the company was good and at 1.00 I left off to home and watched a movie, played Capitalism (I m hooked and addicted to it, a strategic business game) and bumped off at 3 or 4.

Chal thats all for the time being from me.
will write more abt the next time I go out, definitely will try some other place than Steak Out, may be Chi bar or may be Punchline in Kabalagala.

The Saturdays and the Routine!!!

Its been a long time since I wrote something..just like any other blogger, I too feel the uncomfort  and botheration of whether someone would be reading the posts that I keep on bumping off..

Anyways, right now I m trying to figure out what catches on to my head on a Saturday, its as if I m a totally different person on Saturdays, I do things, that aren’t meant to be done by me. I visit places, which I guess I wont be visiting on normal days (its not that they are bad places or hell or anything, they just differ from the normal waterholes I m used to). Even this Saturday I did something maiden, which I don’t think I would have had the guts to do on normal days. That’s me, cannot explain why all that happens to me.

Okay, in other things, there’s lotsa things happening with life and it seems to me as if I m standing at such stage of life, where I can make or break myself and the people surrounding me. That had been the case, when I was studying in my high school and that was even the case in my college. Well, I dint make great decisions in my high school or dint do anything in my college as well to correct the mistakes of my high school. At this point of time, the only thing that comes to my mind and the folks whom I can pinpoint to for some of my lewd decisions have to be my teachers and even me myself. Ours was a pretty bland school, which paid more of an attention to the disciplinary side and making students independent (I m actually grateful to them for all that stuff), but they couldn’t provide anything worthwhile in terms of career planning or the career growth of their students. The school was too new at that point of time and I sincerely hope that they have improved and have a career placement cell or something to lead their students. For the uninitiated, my school was called Maharaja Agrasen Vidhyalaya.

Well the reason for my current blabber is a movie called Revolutionary Road, staring Leonardo Dicapario and Kate Winslet. I wont say that it’s a great movie, going by what people have reviewed, but its worth a watch. Any one going thru a mid-career crisis and pressures should watch it. Well it does turn out to be tedious and engrossing at the end and I actually thought that the director had lost his way and couldn’t find a way to end it. Anyways that’s of the end, but thru the mid of the movie, its great and I could actually equate my situation with what Frank (Leonardo) was going thru.

In other other things happening in the world, my boozing has stopped to a minimal beer bottle on Saturdays or two depending on my pocket and the company I have. And in personal life, I cant determine, whether I hate her or love her more, but then I console myself saying that this may be the part of the self imposed de-addiction that I m taking to forget her , but its far from over and I m miles away from forgetting her. damn….

The week has just started and its gonna be a very small week, true for the next week as well as its Easter. I haven’t planned on going any place as yet, but there was a plan for Murchison Falls, but it hasn’t materialized (as of Saturday) coz we couldn’t get room bookings at such a small notice and some of the group member (about 16 of us planned) had a change of mind of sorts when they heard about the planned expenses, roughly about Uganda Shillings 600,000 (US$ 320), well it does seem to be on the higher side, but Murchison Falls and game ride should be worth it.

That seems to be all of my talks for the moment, would write again next week to inform what I did with the pathetically huge weekend (yeah I hate holidays except if I m going to India in holidays, which is not the case on Easter!!)

Cheers

Santosh
